Ilyse Garber, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.
Acupuncturist and Qigong Instructor
Helping individuals find their path to improved health and well-being is not just my profession but my passion as an acupuncturist. My journey into Chinese Medicine began with a profound appreciation for its holistic approach to healing, deeply rooted in harmony with nature. This ancient practice resonated with me on a personal level, as I experienced significant health improvements through its methods.
The decision to study Chinese Medicine was driven by its comprehensive and integrative approach to treating the body, mind, and spirit as a unified whole. Unlike conventional medicine, which often focuses on symptom management, Chinese Medicine seeks to address the root causes of ailments, promoting overall balance and wellness. This philosophy aligns with my belief in the body's inherent ability to heal itself when provided with the right support and environment.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to witness the transformative effects of acupuncture treatments. Patients who come to me often experience relief from chronic pain, stress, anxiety, and a myriad of other health issues that conventional treatments have failed to resolve. Seeing these transformations and hearing the stories of improved quality of life reaffirm my commitment to this practice.
In addition to acupuncture, I also teach Qigong, a practice that combines movement, meditation, and controlled breathing to enhance physical and mental health. Qigong complements acupuncture perfectly, as both practices aim to balance the body's energy, or Qi, and promote natural healing processes. Teaching Qigong allows me to empower my patients with tools they can use to maintain their health and well-being outside of treatment sessions.
Practicing this beautiful and ancient form of medicine is not just a career for me; it is a calling. It is a privilege to serve those who seek the benefits of acupuncture and Qigong, and it is an honor to be a part of their healing journey.
